II. Vidu API Usage Questions

1 | How do I purchase and enable the API service? | After registering and logging in, you can recharge on the "Account Recharge" menu of the platform to purchase credits needed for video generation. |
2 | How do I make API calls? | You need to use the "HTTPS" protocol and the "POST" method to call our API. Place the API key in the "Authorization" field of the request header, and include the parameters required for video generation in the request body, such as model, style, duration, resolution, etc. Specific parameters and the API domain can be found in the [API documentation](https://platform.vidu.cn/img2video). |
3 | How do I obtain an API key? | After registering and logging in, you can create a new API key under the "API Key Management" menu of the platform. |
4 | What should I do if an API call fails? | If an API call fails, first check whether your network connection is normal and whether the parameters in the request header and request body are set correctly. If the problem persists, you can fix it based on the error message and hints returned in the response body, or contact [platform@vidu.cn](mailto:platform@vidu.cn) and we will be glad to assist you. |
5 | What is the maximum number of characters supported for a prompt? | Up to approximately 1500 characters are supported. |

8 | What methods are available for uploading images? | You can pass in Base64-encoded image data or an image URL. If using a URL, make sure the resource is publicly accessible; if using Base64 encoding, make sure the data format is correct and complete. |

1 | What video generation durations does Vidu support? | Two durations are supported: 4 seconds and 8 seconds. The 8-second duration is only supported at 720p resolution. |
2 | What resolutions does Vidu support? | Three resolutions are supported: 360p, 720p, and 1080p. For videos generated at 360p resolution, Smart Super Resolution can upscale them to 1080p. |
3 | How long does it take to generate a video? | Generally, generating a 4-second video at 360p resolution takes about 10 seconds, and generating an 8-second video takes about twice as long. The generation time is affected by several factors, including the complexity of the input prompt and images, moderation duration, concurrency limits, and API response efficiency. |
